Features - Website Administration

Allow website administrators to create and edit content from any location in the world via a standard web browser and without the need to download and install any special software. The website administrator just needs a login and a password. Several web browsers can be used for website administration - including Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer as well as Firefox, Mozilla and Netscape for Macintosh, Microsoft Windows, Linux and Unix and Safari for Macintosh.

Unlimited Number of Website Administrators

Define an unlimited number of website administrators. Allow different groups and types of website administrators to manage different parts of your website and perform different tasks in the content creation, management and publishing work-flow process.

Browse & Edit

When a website administrator is logged into the web content management system the entire website can be browsed in Browse & Edit mode. Each content item is outlined with administration details and links. Pages and content blocks can be edited directly by clicking an Edit link in the top bar of the content block. The Edit link will only be available for website administrators with permission to edit the content block.In the top bar of the content block you can also view the current publication status of content.

Enable/Disable Features

To keep the website administration as simple as possible, but as powerful as necessary most features have several configuration options. Unneeded features can be disabled and enabled again when and if needed. No technical knowledge is required to configure features as configuration options are selected directly in screens fully integrated in the web content management system.

Context Sensitive Help

Asbru Web Content Management system provides full context-sensitive help for the functionalities of the system. Several documents to help guide users through the system are also available.

Rebranding

You can easily rebrand the web content management system with your own name and logo etc. simply by editing a simple text configuration file. For more extensive changes we can provide a Macromedia Dreamweaver template. Customers, web designers/developers, system integrators and other partners are welcome to market and resell our web content management software under their own name.
